This is a review of the Dallmeyer “Speed” Anastigmat 1 inch f1.5 cine lens, designed for 16mm cine cameras. I show how simple it is to adapt this vintage lens to today’s digital cameras, and discuss its performance.

The lens has a justifiably strong reputation for being an “art” lens, with beautiful rendering, bokeh and fascinating swirls.
