CRHnews - Jim Davidson supports rapper Dappy at Magistrates Court

Comedian Jim Davidson was at Chelmsford Magistrates Court to show support for his Celebrity Big Brother buddy, the former N-Dubz singer Dappy.

Dappy appeared in court on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, to deny assault a man by beating at a Chelmsford nightclub

The 26-year-old is alleged to have assaulted George Chittock after he made an appearance at the Chicago Rock Cafe.

Prosecutor Jacqueline Carey said Dappy, 27, real name Costadinos Contostavlos, slapped ex-Hylands School student Mr Chittock, unprovoked, as he was leaving.

Mr Chittock claimed Dappy slapped him with an open palm to his left cheek, causing swelling.

But Jon Harrison, defending, claimed George Chittock had provoked the rapper with comments throughout the evening.
