Levada do Caniçal - PR5 - Larano Madeira Trail 🌿🏞️

Our journey begins in the charming Pastel district of Machico, a quaint town that serves as the perfect starting point. We started by ascending past picturesque houses until we reached the levada, a traditional Madeira irrigation channel, offering serene views as it winds along the edge of the developed area.

As we approached the intersection with the PR5 trail, we bid farewell to the levada and continued our hike towards the coastline. The highlight of our trek was the breathtaking views from "Miradouro do teleférico," a viewpoint that left us in awe with its panoramic vistas of the cliffs and ocean below.

The adventure didn't stop there! We continued along the stunning Larano trail, where we were treated to spectacular views of the rugged cliffs and the vast expanse of the sea. The trail was a feast for the senses, with the salty breeze and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks.

Eventually, we made our way back to civilization, following the Larano trail until we reached the spot where we had parked our car. This hike was an unforgettable experience, showcasing the raw beauty of Madeira's coastline and the tranquility of its natural landscapes.
