We capture all 24 of the LIRR DE30AC’s from #400 to #423 at a variety of locations on the Montauk Branch. All kinds of horns are heard and the horn artistry of the “Spaghetti and Meatballs Engineer” will leave you scratching your head in amazement. His exploits with the #414 is worth the price of admission so to speak. In addition to hearing these diversified horns, I give my personal rating of each horn based on a 1 to 10 scale, with 10 being the best. I think you can guess which locomotives will have the highest and lowest scores. Some of you may not agree with my rating, but it’s just my personal opinion.
