I used this training session to test my ability to estimate my pace. I successfully paced myself (without a clock) at 16, 18, 20, and 22 reps per minute. The set shown was at 20 reps per minute.

I believe having this awareness is highly beneficial. There are times when it is advantageous to redirect the energy spent on clock-watching towards other aspects of your lift. This allows you to lock into a flow and rhythm while still maintaining your desired pace. It can enhance your internal timing, improve focus on technique, reduce mental fatigue, and lead to a more intuitive understanding of your performance and progress.
