ARL recently hosted a virtual member session on the Global Sustainability Coalition for Open Science Services (SCOSS), a worldwide network of organizations committed to helping secure open access and open science infrastructure by identifying essential noncommercial services and recommending them for funding support. Each year, eligible services undergo a rigorous evaluation and, if selected, are presented to the global open access/open science community with an appeal for monetary support in a crowdfunding approach. ARL is represented on the SCOSS Board and on the SCOSS Technical Advisory Group.
