This week, Irish Medtech Skillnet launched a new strategy, Talent to Thrive, refining its vision for the critical role it will play in supporting the Medtech sector in Ireland between 2023 and 2025.

The strategy sets out ambitious targets over the course of the next 3 years, increasing the organisation’s engagement with business and industry, and positioning it as a valued talent advisor and catalyst for skills transformation across the diverse Medtech sector.

Speaking at the event in the National Advanced Manufacturing Centre, Limerick, Dave Flynn, Director of Business Networks at Skillnet Ireland, pointed out that

"There has never been as much demand for companies to invest in their people through enterprise-driven talent development, as there is right now".

The launch event included informative speakers and lively panel discussions and was attended by industry participants, stakeholders from Ibec Irish Medtech Association and Skillnet Ireland and educational institutions.

Speaking of Ireland as the Global Medtech Hub, Sinead Keogh, Head of Sectors and Director Ibec Medtech & Engineering Sectors, said:

“To stay ahead of the latest trends in business, technology, and management, the new Irish Medtech Skillnet strategy ‘Talent to Thrive’ will play a vital role setting out a roadmap, against the backdrop of the Irish Medtech Association’s strategy, and Skillnet Ireland’s growth priorities...Irish Medtech Skillnet will help us leverage our strengths to achieve new heights.”

Irish Medtech Skillnet is already recognised for providing quality skills support and development content, and it remains critically important for the sector that the talent they need is underpinned with advanced and relevant training interventions.

“As a leading network within the Skillnet Ireland group of 70+ networks, we are delighted to launch our strategy: Talent to Thrive 2023-2025. Our goal is to support the Medtech sector, and our new strategy was informed by a multi-stakeholder consultation process.
