The Road Not Taken

(Am)Two roads diver(C)ged (G)in a yellow (Am)wood
and (C)sorry I could (G)not travel (Am)both
and (Dm)be one traveller, long I (Am)stood
and (Dm)looked down one as far as I (Am)could
to (C)where it bent (G)in the under(Am)growth

Added remarks in the following from August 10,2024: Remaining stanzas by R. Frost (not in the recording here but same melody can approximately be applied as sketched in the following).Probably shall interpretation of the song vary when considering only one stanza compared with the whole poem.

(Am)Then, took the (C)other as (G)just as (Am)fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

(Am)I shall be (C)telling this (G)with a (Am)sigh
(C)Somewhere ages and (G)ages (Am)hence:
(Dm)Two roads diverged in a wood, and (Am)I,
(Dm)I took the one less traveled (Am)by,
And (C)that has made (G)all the diffe(Am)rence.
