Brand New Match Types In WWE 2K24!

WWE 2K24 features several new match types, including the long awaited return of fan favourite Special Guest Referee!

In this video we'll take a look at all of the new and returning match types, including the Casket match, Ambulance Match, Gauntlet Match and Special Guest Referee.

☆☆☆ Special Guest Referee Details ☆☆☆

The returning special guest referee mode builds on the original and offers up several new features and improvements, including the ability to wear a referee shirt and switch between referee mode and superstar mode.

Returning features include the ability to control the speed of counts, allowing for fast counts and slow counts, check on submissions and call for a screwjob finish!

☆☆☆ Casket Match Details ☆☆☆

The new version of the casket match sees the casket placed at ringside, with the aim of the match being to dump your opponent into the casket and close the lid. This can be achieved by throwing opponents into the casket over the top rope, or from ringside.

Closing the lid begins a closure mini-game similar to the submission system, where you'll have to quickly press the button shown to close the casket and win the match.

☆☆☆ Ambulance Match Details ☆☆☆

Making it's debut in the series we have the brand new addition of the Ambulance match, which sees players tasked with throwing thier opponent into the back of the ambulance and closing the doors.

Like the Casket match, this match type also uses the same mini-game as submissions, though players will have to complete this twice, one for each door.

☆☆☆ Gauntlet Match Details ☆☆☆

The Gauntlet match returns with 3 different match variations, including a traditional gauntlet match where you can take control of the next participant if you lose, an eliminator gauntlet that mirrors the Royal Rumble match with up to 8 players in the ring at the same time, and a gauntlet turmoil match where you'll face all opponents until you're defeated.

Gauntlet matches include the option to face off against 4-30 players.
