The skills of this driver may have saved a life: Baarland - Goes SGB Stoomtrein Goes-Borsele 7/8/22

We drive the omC from Baarland to Goes, and eventually end up in the shed.
This motor car omC 909 is a replica of an omC from the series NS C901-908. These omCs were built in 1927 by NS for use on the tram lines of the Zuid-Beveland Railway Company (SZB). The cars were in depot in Goes and received daily maintenance in the workshop that is now the SGB workshop. The SGB railway line Goes-Hoedekenskerke-Baarland is the last remnant of the tram lines through Zuid-Beveland. I was very impressed by the craftsmanship of the volunteers of the SGB, who have brought this special project to such a beautiful end result.

Bij 29:55 stopt de machinist. Als je goed kijkt en luistert, heb jij dan enig idee waarom hij de trein stopt? Ik was ervan onder de indruk!
We rijden de omC van Baarland naar Goes, en belanden uiteindelijk in de loods.
Motorwagen omC 909 is een replica van een omC uit de reeks NS C901-908. Die omC's waren in 1927 gebouwd door NS voor gebruik op de tramlijnen van de Spoorwegmaatschappij Zuid-Beveland (SZB). De wagens waren in depot in Goes en kregen het dagelijks onderhoud in de werkplaats die nu de SGB-werkplaats is. De SGB-spoorlijn Goes-Hoedekenskerke-Baarland(-Oudelande) is het laatste restant van de tramlijnen door Zuid-Beveland. Ik was zeer onder de indruk van het vakmanschap van de vrijwilligers van de SGB, die dit bijzondere project tot een zo prachtig eindresultaat hebben gebracht.
