After a few days waiting for an opening in the weather, we loaded gear on two Hughes 500 helicopters and took off. None of us were prepared for the beauty of where we would land. Stuck in a permanent sense of awe and wonder, we hit the hills looking for big bull tahr. On the first day, we split into two groups. Chase, Kevin and Joe went one direction. Jay and Jaime stayed back to hunt the bull at the top of the mountain. Getting up there was dangerous. So they'd have to find another way down—in the dark.
