Sidart & Cassia by Sid Sahrawat - Metro Restaurant of the Year 2018

Sidart and Cassia are two of the most well known names in New Zealand's restaurant scene. Metro crowned Sidart the best restaurant of the year with Cassia as runner up.

Metro Magazine is a well known Auckland publication. They produce lists ranging from best schools to best bars but we mainly love their best restaurants list.

This year we saw both #Sidart and #Cassia take the top spots and be crowned Auckland's best restaurants. Both these amazing restaurants are owned by legendary restaurateur and chef Sid Sahrawat together with his lovely wife Chand.

The list of awards they won from Metro Peugeot Restaurant of the Year are outstanding - Supreme Award, Best Fine Dining Restaurant, Best Chef and Best Restauranteur - plus that's just Sidart.

For this episode, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to score a special interview with owner #SidSahrawat, Head Chef of Sidart - Jason Lee, as well as Head Chef of Cassia - Nishant Arora. We even got a sneak peek into both restaurants' kitchens. Big thank you to the team! I've always wanted to try do a fancier foodie episode so this was an awesome experience for me.

Sid and Chand Sahrawat have recently taken over another iconic restaurant in Auckland - the French Cafe. We can't wait to see him work his magic once again. Best of luck Sid and Chand!

Lunch: Wed – Fri from 12:00 – 3:00pm
