Problems with Microsoft Store? App crashing or missing? Here's how to fix it!

RESET MICROSOFT STORE (VIA SETTINGS)
If the previous steps didn't fix the problem, and you're still seeing apps pending or stuck downloading, you can reset the Microsoft Store app using the Settings app.

1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Apps.
3. Click on Apps & features.
4. Under the "Apps & features" section, select the Microsoft Store app.
5. Click the Advanced options link.
6. Under the "Reset" section, click the Reset button.

USE A BUILT-IN WINDOWS STORE APPS TROUBLESHOOTER
To run the troubleshooter, use these steps:
1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Update & Security.
3. Click on Troubleshoot.
4. Under the "Find and fix other problems" section, select the Windows Store Apps item.
Quick tip: If you're running the Windows 10 May 2020 Update or later, you'll need to click the "Additional troubleshooters" option to access the option.
5. Click the Run the troubleshooter button.
6. Continue with the on-screen directions (if applicable).

Once you complete the steps, the troubleshooter will scan, detect, and resolve any problems with the Microsoft Store app.

REINSTALL MICROSOFT STORE IN SAFE MODE
To reinstall Microsoft Edge, use the following steps:
1. Click Start, type Powershell. In the search results, right-click “PowerShell” and click Run as administrator.
2. In the PowerShell window, type the command, shown below and hit ENTER.
➤ COMMAND: Get-AppXPackage WindowsStore -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
3. Restart your PC.

CMD METHOD TO CLEAR THE STORE CACHE
1. Type "cmd" in the Windows search bar, right-click on the Command Prompt and run it as an Administrator.
2. Type the following command and press ENTER: icacls "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" /reset /t /c /q
3. Wait for the process to complete and then reboot your PC.

In order to restore or reinstall Microsoft Store, start PowerShell as Administrator. Click Start, type PowerShell. In the search results, right-click the PowerShell and click Run as administrator. In the PowerShell window, type the command given below and press ENTER. This should install/reinstall the Microsoft Store app. After the process ends, reboot your PC to complete this action.

RE-REGISTER/REINSTALL STORE APP USING POWERSHELL
1. Type the "powershell" in the Search box and then right-click the Windows PowerShell and choose the "Run as administrator" option.
2. Type the following commands in the PowerShell window and then press ENTER after each command:

➤ COMMAND #1:
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}

➤ COMMAND #2:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

➤ COMMAND #3:
PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"

PERFORM DISM SCAN
DISM or Deployment Image & Service Management scan is an in-built Windows 10 troubleshooter tool that searches and fixes corrupt system files.

Follow the steps to perform the scan:
1. Type "cmd" in the Windows search bar, right-click on the Command Prompt and run it as an Administrator.
2. Type the following command in the Command Prompt window and press ENTER: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
3. Wait for the scan to complete.
4. Restart your PC.

PERFORM SFC SCAN
Do the same steps as above but in step 2, just change the command to sfc /scannow and wait for the scan to do its job.

CREATE A NEW USER ACCOUNT
If the Microsoft Store is still missing from your PC, then creating a new user account on your computer may help you to fix this issue.

ADJUST YOUR DATE, TIME & REGION
This might sound odd, but the Microsoft Store might not open if your computer’s date and time are inaccurate. This is because the Store checks to see if the time it tracks is in sync with your computer’s.

Press Windows key + I to open Settings. Click Time & Language. Ensure your Time zone is correct. Then slide Set the time automatically to Off, wait for it to process, then slide it back On.

RUN SYSTEM RESTORE
If you have created a system restore point before, then you can run the System Restore to fix the Store. System Restore can make your computer go back to a previous state without affecting your documents and other personal data. But your recently installed programs and drivers may be uninstalled.
