Welcome to the third and final installment of our trip report aboard Amtrak's most scenic train, the California Zephyr. Today, we are boarding the Zephyr in Salt Lake City, UT, and riding it all the way down to Richmond, CA. Though the Rocky Mountains may be behind us, there's still plenty of desert, mountain, and ocean scenery ahead of us. Join us as we snake our way through the Sierra Nevada and cruise down to the Bay Area. Along the way, learn a little more about the history of this awesome train.
