Para Utsob | পাড়া উৎসব | The Baridhara Society Hosted

The Baridhara Society hosted the "Neighborhood Festival" to celebrate rural traditions and foster stronger social connections. The event became a vibrant gathering, welcoming both locals and international guests. Simultaneously, the Garo community marked their most cherished celebration, Wangala, at Lalmatia School, continuing an annual tradition.
Held on Roads 2 and 3 in the Baridhara Diplomatic Zone, the Neighborhood Festival has been a regular feature since 2018.
The festivities began early in the morning, offering a variety of attractions: stalls featuring traditional Bangladeshi sweets (pithas), bioscope shows, puppet performances, magic acts, health service booths, and an array of jute-crafted items. Visitors also enjoyed street food, talent showcases, stand-up comedy, street theater, sports activities, and displays of traditional and modern martial arts.
According to the organizers, the festival was designed to promote unity and harmony among people, especially in the aftermath of the political movements and struggles that have shaped the nation.
