It just so happened with the recent heatwave, and we had this un-used cream lying about - DOVE self-tanning lotion so I wanted to document and check for myself if this product really works. I put it to the test. VIEWERS WHO MAY BE OFFENDED OF THE LEGS SHOT - SKIP VIDEO FROM 3:08 TO 3:48 and 7:59 to 8:19 - I HAD TO DO AN HONEST REVIEW ;)
Whilst I believe the recent heat wave had something to do with my slight tan, DOVE's self-tanning lotion really did compliment the weather and for a while gave me that "fresh" holiday look; sadly though, following production of this review, I did start realising the drawbacks from the wet / slippery action whenever washing my hands and sweating heavier than usual due to the applications. You do feel very moisturised / rejuvenated, however I noticed 72hrs of not continuously using it as much - I did finally see some stains and it appears as if the colour / tan changes, in fact this past Friday 23/07 I couldn't have looked more fake than that fake Essex tan! Sorry fake-tan people - it looks like we really do need to go a holiday to get a tan, to include myself. :)
Strangely enough, I do actually like the product and of course, I do in general - enjoy DOVEs products from shower creams and other every day creams.
