Park Jimin was born on October 13th 1995 in Busan, South Korea. His family consists of his mother, father and a little brother. Jimin completed schooling in Busan's Hodong Elementary School and Yonsan Middle School. During this time, he joined Just Dance Academy and there learned popping and locking dance. Jimin also studied contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts and was one of the top students in the modern dance department. After a teacher suggested he audition with an entertainment company, it led him to Big Hit Entertainment. While debuting, Jimin got into confusion whether to go with “Baby J,” “Baby G” or “Young Kid” as his stage name, but in the end, jimin sticked with his real name: Jimin, because it was given by his grand-father. Sweet! After Jimin passed the auditions in 2012, he transferred to Korean Arts High School and there he became friends with BTS V. Jimin and V graduated from Global Cyber University in August 2020, with a major in Broadcasting and Entertainment. As of 2021, he is enrolled at Hanyang Cyber University, pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Advertising and Media. During the early times of his career, Jimin went through a lot of pain, like he had several injuries and extreme dieting led to him passing out during dance rehearsals. He had a condition called Body Dysmorphia which is a mental disorder in which you can’t stop thinking about one or more perceived defects or flaws in your appearance—a flaw that, to others, is either minor or not observable.
