Productivity Summit 🍋 This week politicians, business leaders, unions and experts have met in Canberra to try to figure out how to boost Australia’s productivity. Ukraine Peace Talks 🇺🇦 In the past week there have been some big meetings in the US as world leaders try to find a way to end the war in Ukraine. New Words 📕 Thousands of new words have been added to the Cambridge Dictionary, including skibidi, delulu, tradwife and broligarchy. Ngiyampaa Dictionary 📖 We meet Mikayla, who’s helping to keep an endangered Australian language alive. She’s put together an online dictionary of Ngiyampaa words. It’s a language that’s been spoken by her ancestors for thousands of years but now has less than 50 fluent speakers. Audio Descriptions 👂 Recently BTN added audio descriptions (via iview) to make the show more accessible to people who are blind or vision impaired.
