Rogan is an expert in the history of Israel and Palestine, and has authored several books, including the critically acclaimed, The Arabs: A History.

In their conversation, Rogan highlights the precursors to the current war on Gaza, and how the politics of the past and those ahead, could facilitate an end to the oppression of Palestinians, and lay the foundations for their statehood, as well as for peace in the region.
