Описание к видео Xavier Rudd visits Save Wallum Brunswick Heads, Byron Shire, Australia

Internationally loved Australian musician Xavier Rudd has a long history of writing soulful heartfelt songs about connecting with spirit, country and
respecting the original people of this land.
Bow Down is the second single from the album SPIRIT BIRD, released
in 2012. The lyrics tell about the land in Australia being used, mined and developed for profit. It’s 2024 and we’re still seeing sacred lands and ecosystems being destroyed with one of the highest rates
of extinction of species in the world. Save Wallum, a campaign in the Byron Shire, NSW, Australia is run a group of concerned community members
coming together with local mob to protect a precious area of richly
diverse wallum heathland with over 75 old growth scribbly gums, homes to multiple species including the endangered koala under imminent
threat, marked for destruction, approved by council and NSW government for a luxury housing development.
Last week Xavier visited Save Wallum to hear from the locals about what’s been happening. Filmed on the Traditional Land of the Minjungbal and Arakwal people of Bundjalung Nation.
We’re incredibly grateful to Xavier for coming and letting us film his visit. Thanks to all involved with the creation of this video.
