Описание к видео My Artifact Episode 3368

Artifact Episode 3,368 (Part 2 of 3,367)
March 22, 2025, 12:01 a.m. (recorded for March 21)
It’s past midnight, but we’re still going with March 21 for this one. I meant to record earlier, but noise issues delayed me. Anyway, this feels like part two of episode 3,367, so let’s jump in.
The Big Question: What’s Next?
So, I’ve been doing some thinking. After years of chasing filmmaking, YouTube, and all sorts of creative stuff, I’m wondering: is business the next step? Sounds wild, right? I’ve never studied business—I’m not one of those MBA types. I’ve got no formal training, just a bunch of YouTube case studies. And here’s the kicker—I’m 31, unemployed, living with my parents, and not earning any money. By the world’s standards, that’s pretty much failure.
But hold on—let me explain why I’m even considering this.
Filmmaking Dream: The Road Less Traveled (and Expensive)
Filmmaking has been my dream since I was 16. I’ve got this idea for a movie called Binary Code. It’s an epic action film that I want to make, with no compromises. But here’s the thing: the path to making it is brutal. If you’re in India, you’re looking at the Bombay grind: move there, work two years of grunt jobs at ad agencies, fetch coffee, carry equipment. You’ll need at least one lakh rupees just to survive, which—news flash—I don’t have.
And after that, maybe you get to be an assistant director for another couple of years, learning the ropes. After that, you pitch your low-budget film to a producer—one crore rupees. If it flops, guess what? Back to assisting, for years. If I want Binary Code to be big—like, big-budget big—I’d need 100 crores. You can see where this is going. I’m just a nobody, so that’s... not happening.
And even if I grind it out for 7-8 years, there’s no guarantee of success. Plus, I’d probably have to compromise a lot of my creative control. I want to make Binary Code my way, not for someone else’s agenda.
The Self-Doubt Spiral: Why Am I Even Thinking About This?
So, here’s where it gets real: I give up easily. Failure doesn’t scare me—I’m used to it—but I hate the idea of letting others down. If I make Binary Code and it flops, I’d be responsible for wasting someone’s money. That thought? It keeps me up at night.
Plus, let’s talk about confidence. Or lack of it. I’m not the most socially skilled guy, and when I think of being in Bombay, surrounded by industry giants, I freeze. My community doesn’t value creative careers—engineers, doctors, and stable jobs are the gold standard. If I fail in Bombay and have to come back, I can’t even imagine that shame. I’d rather disappear than face that.
After running mental simulations for years, I’ve come to a conclusion: I have maybe a 60% chance of success, and that’s after 20-30 years. At 60, I could make Binary Code—but will it even be what I envisioned? Will it be worth it?
The YouTube Escape: A New Path, Same Dream
So, what did I do? I turned to YouTube. Five years ago, I pivoted. YouTube offered a chance to create freely—no Bombay, no gatekeepers, just me and the camera. I’ve made short films, travel videos, and now graphic design content, with 1,300-1,400 subscribers. Not making money yet, but I’ve learned so much. Editing, storytelling, finding my niche—I’m building a creative career on my terms.
YouTube’s become my long-term path. I upload daily, and it’s only getting bigger.
The Big Business Idea: Could This Be the Game Changer?
So why business? Well, it ties back to my Artifact episodes—these raw audio diaries I’ve been recording since 2015. They started after a tough emotional period, and I began talking to my phone, unfiltered. These 30-minute rants became my emotional outlet. Over the years, they’ve built my confidence, helped me think clearly, and allowed me to process my thoughts. I’ve even taught myself to speak English fluently through these recordings. They’re not about fame, money, or success—they’re just for me. My private space.
But here’s the kicker: What if others could benefit from this? What if I could create an app where people record their own anonymous audio diaries—no names, no identities, just raw thoughts? A space where people could vent without fear of judgment.
Why Not Just Use a Recorder App?
Well, recording isn’t enough. I want to build a platform where people can share their unfiltered thoughts, but with privacy. Unlike YouTube or Instagram, where everything is polished and curated for likes, this app would celebrate raw, unfiltered voices. Think of it as the opposite of today’s oversaturated social media world, where we’re stuck in a constant cycle of entertainment and performative content.
Imagine this: a space where users record their untold stories, no algorithms pushing them to get more likes, no monetization pushing them to be more ‘marketable’. Just pure, authentic conversation. It could be a refuge for people who want to talk but don’t feel like they have anywhere to turn.
