My name is Dr Elaine Bylis. I work for Innovative Dental Design in Maryland. We are a comprehensive practice and we focus on cosmetic and implant dentistry. So my next patient today, I will be treating tooth number 18, has an existing pfm crown, and what I will be doing is removing the existing Pfm and preparing it for an all Zirconia crown. The reason why we're doing that is because there's decay on the lingual margin of tooth number 18. So I absolutely love having the Isolite for removing an old crown because there's no question of the airway being compromised when I remove the old crown. So when I go with the crown remover, I hear it crack and it falls back and the padding actually catches the crown so I don't have to worry about the patient aspirating the crown that I just removed.
