Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok

This 5 star hotel has 30 floors, 290 rooms and suites, 3 bars including a rooftop bar, several restaurants, a swimming pool, fitness centre and spa. The spa is actually operated by an external company called Let’s Relax. They have multiple locations and an app which allows you to accrue points for money spent and later redeem for vouchers.

I paid a total of 9,093.36 for 2 nights stay in a Business Class room. This is about 4,546.68 per night and about £99 or $127 per night. There are cheaper rooms as well as suites to choose from, however, I felt that this business class room offers great value and benefits. I will cover these shortly and you can take a look on YouTube at love flying and hotels. Booking a business class room means that your room will be on one of the top four floors of accommodation, levels 24-27. Floors 28 to 30 have 2 restaurants, the executive lounge and the rooftop bar.

I was checked in by Khun Arrissa who was super sweet. I was then escorted to my room by Khun Jan, the Asst. Front Office Manager who was again, super sweet. I should say that I am 99% blind and K. Jan gave me a tour and made sure that I was fully comfortable.

My room was on the 25th floor with a great view! The bed was comfortable and the shower had a nice rain shower! The TV has a decent selection of cable channels and room size is great. The room had a king bed, sofa/chaise lounge which was a nice purple colour and big enough to fit 2 people comfortably, a work table with stationary box and minibar.

The executive lounge is located on level 29 and serves refreshments such as tea, coffee and soft drinks from 12pm to 9pm. Between 5pm and 7pm, the lounge serves evening cocktails and canapes. The spread is fairly limited and the alcoholic drinks selection is subpar.

The roof top bar offers fantastic skyline views and stunning sunset views! The roof top bar has a happy hour and a number of craft beers/ales on draft. The hotel also has an Italian and Chinese restaurant.

The swimming pool and fitness centre are both good size and located on the 6th floor along with the spa. I had 2 massage treatments at the spa and they were the best massages I have had in the last 5 years.

Breakfast was amazing! The breakfast had more choice than many hotels including a large section for Indian cuisine. There was plenty of choice including international options, local and Asian cuisines. Although they did not have fresh juice, they had fresh signature drink made with blueberry and was delicious! When I arrived I was met by Khun Oui who was very sweet and showed me all of the (many many) options available and then served me directly to my table. She would be looking over all the time to see if I am ok or need anything else. The way she communicated with me made me feel like I was her personal friend or family.

Overall, I think this is a great value 5 star hotel! The rooms are nice, the hotel has all the necessary services you would expect along with exceptional service. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
