In the 2010s, channels that tackled the “Top 10” format like WatchMojo, Matthew Santoro, Planet Dolan, Chills, and many others blew up on Youtube. What followed afterward was a parade of soulless, faceless copycats and rip-offs. In this video, I want to explore what started this boom, and why they aren’t currently anywhere close to the popularity during their prime. While I also tackle the online career of Matthew Santoro as an entertainer and a creator, nothing in this video is meant as an attack on him. Personally, I wish the best for him in his endeavors. I do not condone any harassment that comes his way, and I will protect him with my life.
