Firefighters and industrial personnel from across the country will test their skills in a high-angle rope rescue challenge to raise funds for the Burn Center at University of Utah Health. Over three days, 10 teams will compete in realistic rescue scenarios at locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Teams will be judged on safety, speed, technical rope skills, patient care, and teamwork.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Burn Center, which provides specialized care for burn patients throughout the Mountain West. Our mission is to improve outcomes, enhance quality of life, and provide a path to recovery for those facing the challenges of burn injuries. Last year’s inaugural Rope Rescue Challenge raised more than $16,000 for the center. Many thanks to Marathon Petroleum, which organized this year’s event and generated donations to the Burn Center.
