In a major development for Delhi’s fight against air pollution, cloud seeding has been successfully conducted over parts of the national capital. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa confirmed that a Cessna aircraft flew from Meerut to Delhi earlier today to carry out the operation. The exercise covered Khekra, Burari, Mayur Vihar, and nearby regions, with eight flares used during the 30-minute procedure. Officials say artificial rain could occur anytime between 15 minutes to 4 hours after the seeding, depending on weather conditions. More trials are planned over the next few days as Delhi battles its toxic winter smog.
