An Octagonal Box

Hello everyone
Today, I will show you how I made an Octogonal Box as a present for my daughter’s teacher after finishing 8 years of teaching from 1st to 8th grade.
In this video, I’ll take you through the idea and the design process to the actual binding process of creating this 8 sided box.

In Steiner school also called Waldorf education, every grade has a different color from red to purple just like a rainbow, at the end of the year the parents bind all the notebooks together to a hardcover binding, summing up the grade year, and that gave me the Idea.

Bookbinding Gray board 2.4mm thick
Van Heek textile Saphir bookbinding cloth
218 gr. Sundance offwhite paper
120 gr. Black paper
