EGR position and EGR error - VOLVO D3 2.0 5-cylinder diesel D5204T3 - Car Scanner ELM OBD2 and VIDA

EGR valve is always closed when external temperature falls below 2°C.

First you can see the "EGR position" and "EGR error" filmed in "Car Scanner ELM OBD2" app for Android. EGR valve delay is clearly visible here. "EGR error" in Car Scanner ELM OBD2 seems to be the difference in % between EGR requested and EGR actual position. Then in VIDA 2014d you can see the "EGR requested position" and "EGR actual position". In this video EGR valve was fully open (96%) whenever car was engine-braking.

EGR valve was never cleaned in my car, there is a slight error in EGR position, but valve is not stuck or blocked, it always follows commanded position with slight delay. No errors or faults, this is how this engine works in normal driving at over 200.000 km mileage.

EGR and EGR cooler in 5-cylinder Volvo engines are generally trouble free - no "check engine" light, and seem to be better than in newer 4-cylinder VOLVO VEA engines, where EGR and EGR-cooler are prone to getting clogged, and were recalled for repair.
