Mrs Kaushalya Devi is from Sikar in Rajasthan. She has been a patient of COPD and ILD. COPD is a chronic inflammatory lung disease with obstructed airflow from the lungs whilst ILD is a kind of disease that causes scarring (fibrosis) of the lungs.

She had an infection of the lungs and had shortness of breath with difficulty in breathing. The doctors at Sikar advised her family to take her to Jaipur for her treatment immediately. Her family decided on Shalby Hospitals Jaipur after a lot of research for this where she was admitted under Dr Niranjan Singh, a General Physician.

Mrs Kaushalya’s condition was very critical when she was admitted with an oxygen saturation level touching just 72%. She was put on Bipap, but still faced problems in breathing and it seemed she would need to be put on a ventilator.

However, with great efforts by a big team of doctors at Shalby Jaipur, this was averted and Mrs Kaushalya was treated with antibiotics and other supportive measures with needing ventilator support.
