Horse Progress Days is an annual event that encourages and promotes the combination of animal power and the latest equipment innovations in an effort to support small scale farming and land stewardship. It shows that show Draft Animal Power is possible, practical, and profitable.
It is hosted by Sam Moore. Sam gives us a thorough tour of all of the equipment demonstrated and displayed at Horse Progress Days in 2005 held in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He explains the features of the implement in the static displays followed by film of it being demonstrated in the field with the power of a team of draft horses or mules.

A word from Charlie Pinney of Wales, UK. who farms 30 acres of mountain land. He shows us his forecart with an engine drive that can be hooked up to the forecart for jobs needing the power or removed for jobs requiring only hydraulics or horse power along.
Barbara Corson from Pennsylvania shows us a Norwegian harness
9custom made by Olaf Nyby) on her horse. We see close ups of how it is worn, all the parts and the differences from an English harness. When drives her horse around the round pen so we can watch it in action.
Erhard Schroll, editor of the German magazine Starke Pferde explains that he helps organize a German Horse Progress Days and attends this event to exchange ideas with the US organizers.
Finally, we show some footage of the "Parade of Breeds" which includes Belgians, Percherons, Fjords, Haflingers, Spotted drafts, Blue Roan Gypsy Vanners, Clydesdales, Shires, mules and more.
