This is a scene from my first play that I am writing and acting in. This clip is from a work in progress show, which means it's a first draft and will be changed before going on tour.

The working title was called the Mincier manifesto and it premiered at this year's Dublin theatre festival. The play is now called The Dead House, as it is centred around a funeral and the Dead house. The funeral of Patrick's grandfather is taking place and he is laid out in the coffin in the family home.

In this scene, Patrick spots the Gardaí arrive, parked in front of the house. This is a regular scene at Traveller funerals, sometimes because they are needed, most times because it has become routine. This is not a dog at the Gardaí, whom are doing their job, this is an honest reaction to seeing them that most Travellers feel.

The Dead House will go on your in Ireland and the UK in the summer of 2022. Hope to see you all at a show. ❤
