The Übermenschis one of Nietzsche's most famous ideas. They are meant to be the next evolution of mankind and a way to move beyond the values imposed on the world by religion. But it is also perhaps Nietzsche's most misunderstood idea. Often they are painted as simply a very powerful person or a sort of superhero, which gives an interpretation of the idea which is at best incomplete and at worst deeply misleading.
