In July 2024, the Russian armed forces adopted the latest Piranha-13 FPV drone, designed for remote mining. This unmanned aerial vehicle, developed specifically for a special military operation, significantly expands the tactical capabilities of the Russian military in laying minefields.
According to Military Review, Piranha-13 stands out among its predecessors - Piranha-7 and Piranha-10 - with an increased load capacity of up to 15 kg, which allows it to carry one or two mines of various types. A representative of the development company emphasized that with the help of this drone it is possible to block all enemy supply routes at a distance of up to 10 kilometers in one day, indicating its high tactical capabilities.
The development of Piranha-13 began at the request of military personnel who wanted to create a drone capable of delivering ammunition to the front, which significantly increases the efficiency of logistics operations in a special military operation.
