Malaise were part of the Nostalgifesten #2. I had seen Malaise live on stage back in 2009, and I can easily say that they are one of the best "live" bands. They played a brilliant gig for one more time! They perform as a trio now but they lack nothing in power. Martin (vocals) and the two guitarists (Juho & Fredrik) are the kings of the stage. Malaise is the a band that combines the electronic sound with goth rock in the most perfect way. As they were part of a festival they couldn't play a long set, but the interesting thing was that they played some of their oldest songs from their debut ep, in new "upgraded" versions full of new electronic beats and powerful guitars. When they played "Gods of War" and "Something Else" I couldn't believe my ears!! Such brilliant versions indeed. They MUST re-record these songs and include them in a future release, just like they did for "We Are Colliders" a few years ago. The exact setlist was the following:
