What if I told you that you can genetically edit yourself? Even better, you can genetically edit yourself to be lucky! In this talk, biologist Özgü Gümüştekin elaborates on how luck is not entirely random, and in fact very scientifically explicable. She explains how you can actively alter your biology in just 4 steps to become lucky, with real life examples. Özgü Gümüştekin is a cancer biologist in training at the Luxembourg Institute of Health. Finding her passion for science early on and moving around the globe often, gave her a unique perspective in applying science to everyday life. Her current research focuses on the genetics of leukemia. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
