F-22 Raptor (emulation with PCem)

Описание к видео F-22 Raptor (emulation with PCem)

This is F-22 Raptor, a lightweight flight sim from NovaLogic, released in 1997 running under PCem emulation. The copy I'm using was taken from the NovaLogic Mig-29/F-22 Raptor compilation cd released in 2002.

This isn't really a gameplay video, it's more to showcase how it runs under PCem emulation and how a modern HOTAS controller can be used.

This will run natively under Win10, however the game only supports game port controllers so a modern HOTAS won't work without emulation. I'm using PCem v17 and Win95. The recommended Raptor spec is a 200Mhz Pentium, so I used a 233Mhz Pentium MMX in PCem.

For those without TM Target, you could try vJoy / Joystick Gremlin, which does something similar to Target but for any compatible HOTAS controllers, however I haven't used vJoy / Joystick Gremlin and there may be a bit of a learning curve, so video / website tutorials may be useful until you're comfortable in trying it out.

The video shows the following:

A default PCem profile in TM Target to enable a Warthog stick, throttle and rudder pedals, only the 4 axes are used. Also fix a problem in the Target software or Win10 where the rudder pedals will be disabled when added to an enumerated device and must be re-enabled manually.

A PCem joystick config for 2 x 2 button joysticks to enable the 4 axes and 4 buttons in PCem.

A custom controller config in Win95 with 4 axes and 4 buttons. The test shows each of the axes performing as expected.

And finally F-22 Raptor running with a modern HOTAS controller!
