Some Boynton Beach residents are upset about the possibility that the city may sell a forest to a developer.

They say a developer wants to clear the land and build apartment buildings there.

Boynton Beach City Commissioners voted May 20 to deem the forest as surplus property and directed the city staff to negotiate the sale of the land with the developer.
