Wood tensile testing machine is mainly used for tensile strength test of materials, like lumber, wood, Timber boards, etc. It adopts precision hydraulic power pack to load, high precision load cell to measure testing force, photoelectric encoder to measure displacement, computer control, proof load and break load test, testing space and piston stroke can be made according to the customer’s requirement. The machine is calibrated according toISO13061,ASTM D143,ASTM E4 ,DIN EN 16516and ISO75001.

4.Construction, function, features This testing machine is composed of horizontal mainframe, hydraulic power pack, electric control cabinet and computer control system. See following drawing: 4.1Mainframe Structure: It adopts pull type oil-cylinder, the piston rod retracted when it doing tensile test.
Load measuring: A high precision load cell is installed in the front beam of the testing machine.
Displacement measuring: A photoelectric encoder is installed on the side of the oil-cylinder, which is used to measure the piston stroke and it also can be approximately used for measuring deformation.
Clamp method: Hydraulic clamping for lumber wood pull test.
Safety cage: It equips with operated safety cage, which is used to cover the whole testing area. It can well protect the safety of the operator. 4.2Hydraulic power pack This part is the power pack of this testing machine, which is consisted of hydraulic pump, servo valve, Electromagnet reversing valve, pressure adjustment valve, oil cylinder and other components.
Work principle: The motor drives the gear pump, then the oil comes into the oil-cylinder after running through one-way valve, high pressure oil filter and servo valve. The high precision load cell will transmit the load signal into electrical signal and sent it to the computer. The computer will handle the date acquisition and display it in load on the monitor. Meanwhile, the computer will send control signal to the servo valve. It controls the open mouth size and orientation of the servo valve, thus to control the flow running into the oil cylinder. High quality components: It adopts famous brand servo valve and gear pump and other high quality hydraulic components.
Cooling system: The power pack is equipped with cooling system to cool down the temperature of the oil. It is an intelligent cooling system, when the oil temperature is higher than the preset value, it will auto work. When it is lower than the preset value, it will auto stop working. 4.3Computer and electrical control system function and feature 3. 1. Dataacquisition and process system The software based on Windows system is able to make automatic calculating of test results, i.e. tensile strength, displacement, etc. It can realize constant speed loading, loading hold, constant speed unloading, which can be called a total three closed loop control.
The PC software can auto store test data into Access database, the history records can be opened at any time and reviewed, printed, etc. It includes specimen info, test data, and test graphs. The graphs include load vs time, load vs displacement, etc. 1. Computer It adopts Dell computer, English interface and English testing software. Keyboard, mouse and surge protection. Windows 10 system and testing software installed. It is easy to operate, computer real time display various kinds of testing curves: force- time, force- displacement, force- deformation, stress- strain, etc. The HP printer will print the testing results.
