On Wednesday, Azure Database Migration Service added schema migration support in general availability. The feature enables customers to migrate database schema objects including tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, user-defined types, and roles alongside data using a single checkbox. Schema migration reduces manual intervention and maintains consistency between source and target SQL Database environments through Azure portal or PowerShell automation. Azure Database Migration Service is a fully managed cloud service that simplifies database migration from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL Database by providing comprehensive assessment, recommendation, and migration capabilities with minimal downtime.

Yesterday, Copilot Coding Agent added support for AGENTS.md custom instructions in public preview. AGENTS.md files allow engineers to guide Copilot on how to understand a project, build, test, and validate changes, either repository-wide or for specific project areas. This expands on previous support for .github/copilot-instructions.md and other instruction formats, giving teams more granular control over automation. Copilot Coding Agent is an autonomous background agent available with Copilot Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans, designed to automate coding tasks, improve productivity, and streamline development workflows.
