The Bioforce School in Lyon teaches students to become humanitarian aid workers by simulating real-life situations.

Many people want to work in the humanitarian sector but studying for it is often very theoretical. Bioforce is one of the few schools worldwide that takes a practical approach. It includes putting students through an ‘African adventure’ in the heart of France.

Often, the good intentions of those wishing to become aid workers is not enough. Without proper training, the physical and psychological challenges can be hard to bear and aid workers may do more harm than good in their quest to help. Here, students have the opportunity to learn how to best help people in need and get a glimpse of the challenges ahead.
