(10 Nov 2018) A woman who was celebrating her 18th birthday at a Southern California country music bar says she was thrown to the floor when a gunman began shooting at the venue.
Alexa Brevig says her boyfriend got on top of her to shield her from the gunfire and they escaped through a broken window.
"We all started jumping over the window just like one by one, we were falling on top of each other," Brevig said.
The gunman who killed 12 people at the Borderline country music bar went on social media during the attack and posted about his mental state and whether people would believe he was sane, a law enforcement official said Friday.
Authorities have not determined a motive for Wednesday's night rampage at the Borderline Bar and Grill.
