I mean we talk about all this ugliness that's going on and in the news today if you look at the news feeds today You would swear we're in the end days but it sounds like you're an optimist still I'm an optimist yeah There's always struggles going on People fighting back and things like that against things that are wrong with their lives or the systems And I think it always will There was a really great book written by a journalist used to be for the BBC uh called paul mason and he wrote a story uh sorry his book is looking back at old uh struggles like the Leon textile workers and the Manchester workers and all these things in the history of working class people And then he looks at exactly what is happening in Pakistan or Brazil and Argentina and the exact same things are happening And these people now can look at the internet and say okay this is what happened in This is happening to us here with the trade unions and stuff like that And so people can learn So I'm always an optimist I think we can always fight back I mean I don't like the new Labour leader I think he's rubbish but I'm optimistic because I know inside the Labour Party there are great activists community workers and community activists and trade union leaders who can hopefully push them more left more left more left But I'm always optimistic
