Shopping in Doncaster and an hour to kill before returning to base provided an opportunity to create a little entertainment for you.

First up is 9 car Azuma 801229 drawing into platform 3 with 1E10, the 1000 Edinburgh Waverley - London Kings Cross as 221116 stands opposite in platform 4 awaiting the right away for York, working a skeleton Cross Country service (due to strike action being cancelled at short notice and only a limited service provided) with 1S41, 1103 Birmingham New St - York (the 'S' in 1S41 is the inter-regional code for Scotland, so has York been relocated north of the border, or am I just being pedantic? Probably the latter, Ed).

Next is 180114 Kirkgate Calling, making a brisk passage via the Down Main on it's way to Sunderland with Grand Central's 1N92, 1127 departure from London Kings Cross, passing 801208 recessed in platform 4 awaiting to depart with 1N83, 1106 London Kings Cross - York.

A nod to the humble all stations service now with 158784 parked in platform Zero moving out with the... well it's been announced (1306 Doncaster - Hull service). 801208 now moves out north as 333008 arrives from Leeds into platform 6 with the Northern 1221 Leeds - Doncaster service, 2B18. It is interesting to note the Doncaster totems now sport the BR arrows of indecision branding.
