Super Sickos World is a hack made during HackJam 2021, an event on SMWCentral where users have to create a hack in the span of 7 weeks as a team. For this event, I had the privilege to work with Heraga, margot, Nanako and RussianMan. As a result, we created a hack reminescient of mice and slurdgery (i.e. very hard and gimmicky romhack).

This is the second and last level I made for the hack. Initially the level was supposed to take place in a desert background with pipelines (think of SMB3 desert world) before I was suggested to design it like an airship (which was a funny coincidence since I planned a fast autoscroll airship level before throwing out this idea). One may wonder how an airship made of wood manages to be able to fly with all that fire...
Contrary to my other level, this one doesn't focus on one peculiar element but instead on 3 sprites (boost platforms, fire bros and fire burners) and offer 3 sections asking to perform different actions (platforming in first section, action/doding in second section and not doding stuff in moon challenge).

Albeit I think today the level lacks a little bit of polish (mainly the second and moon section) and quite overuses the screen scrolling pipes (although what Sickos would be without them lol?), I'm pretty happy of this level.
