8.1 Ionic, Covalent, and Metallic Bonding | High School Chemistry

Описание к видео 8.1 Ionic, Covalent, and Metallic Bonding | High School Chemistry

Chad provides the characteristics of the three principal types of bonding: ionic bonding, covalent bonding and metallic bonding. He then provides the characteristics of ionic compounds, molecular compounds and metallic substances. He introduces the concept of electronegativity and describes the periodic trend for it. Chad then defines lattice energy and how to predict relative lattice energies among different ionic compounds. Chad then concludes the lesson showing how to distinguish between nonpolar (pure) covalent bonds and polar covalent bonds.

I've created a high school chemistry page that organizes all my videos by chapter - just an easier way for you to watch my YouTube videos. Check it out at https://www.chadsprep.com/chads-high-...
