Even among nocturnes, this is a very lyrical piece by 19th century composer Adolf von Henselt. Henselt was reported to have a "velvet paw" touch on the piano; I did my amateur best to replicate his gentleness throughout this piece where appropriate, knowing of course that Henselt was one of the great virtuosos of his time and I am not.
