Music is a language used all around the world. Transcending cultural and lingual barriers, this universal code is finding its way even into the most remote corners of the planet. Via the internet, music is connecting people who otherwise would never have got to know each other: Bridging the social context consisting of different cultural backgrounds and languages, music makes us feel united, which is somewhat crazy -- music is a CRAZY LANGUAGE.
Coordinated from Berlin, the netlabel CRAZY LANGUAGE was founded by AXIOM and HURON in 2006. Ever since Crazy Language has been serving as music filter and platform for artistic self-realisation. The label offers all experimental electronic music genres an outlet, for example IDM, Electronica, Glitch, Abstract, Ambient, Downbeat and Breaks. This is reflected in the passion of the netlabel owners as well as in the diversity of the music scene. With lots of love for music, Crazy Language is articulating itself in a dialect spoken all around the world by artists and music lovers alike: the Crazy Language of course.
HURON (Steffen Schröder, Berlin) produces very detailed music, clearly embedded in an Electronica robe. He creates gorgeous spaces through high quality sounding textures and beats. Nice dsp-influenced techniques and glitches plus beautiful soundscapes which usually express melancholy combined with a slight and subliminal touch of darkness are typical for his music. Take a step into the abyss as Huron directs light and dark through corridors of tangled beats, sliced rhythms and skewed melodies.
DATACRASHROBOT / RANDOMFORM (Sorin Paun, Bucharest), the master of aliases, explores different genres as a DJ, Producer, Remixer and Graphic Designer. His tracks and remixes appear on various labels and netlabels, he published customized DJ mixes and has been featured on several worldwide radio broadcasts and podcasts. Randomform is a particularly abundant IDM sonic trip that takes it's listener to a wild ride into a multi-tonal world made of very detailed, carefully crafted ensembles. Datacrashrobot manages to juggle with a wide array of electro sounds, may it be old school beats or futuristic sounding glitches and vocal snippets, luring his listener with an accessible retro-feeling or at times building menacing arrangements of complex beats.
REC_OVERFLOW (Luis, Madrid) is a very active agent of underground Madrid electronica scene through the collective of musicians and his label PLATAFORMA-LTW, which is supposed to be the first netlabel in Spain. Raw and deep electronica messing up with dark hip-hopism, halfway between the smashed dance floor and the unusual and relentlessly melody, the rhythm catharsis and the dreamy sound escapism. His DJ sets and live appearances display high energy and dynamism as you can clearly see when watching him on stage.
AXIOM (Berlin) is passion and spirit. This is very well visible when he is DJing in Berlin's clubs or selecting the label's musically output. Beyond his work as curator of the Crazy Language Netlabel and his spinning-records deals, he is working with KILLEKILL BERLIN, helping to run parties and releasing records, specially on the genres he grew to love - showcasing this way, the other side of the self-imposed minimal style Berlin has had for many years. Alternative music experience to the people!
