We saw more of the same today with highs back to around 90° and lots of sunshine! Rain chances will stay near zero through tonight and Wednesday. By tomorrow morning, temperatures will drop into the mid- to upper-60’s with low-70’s at the coast. Wednesday will bring mostly sunny skies with just a few more clouds by the afternoon with the sea breeze. Highs will be very warm again at around 90°. By Thursday and Friday, deeper tropical moisture will move into the area along with a stalled frontal boundary bringing increased rain chances. Highs will be cooler in the mid-80’s thanks to the rain and increased cloud cover. Rip current risk will remain low until Thursday when it increases to moderate. In the tropics, we are still monitoring Kirk, but it does not pose a threat to the US or the Gulf Coast. An area in the eastern Atlantic will likely develop into a tropical system over the next week, but it will stay out in the open Atlantic. There is one area that is expected to enter the southwestern Gulf over the next several days. It has a medium chance of development, and this would at the very least bring tropical moisture to parts of the Gulf Coast. It does not pose an immediate threat to our area.
