They are pretty much the only thing that matters when doing the thing we call Value Investing, and looking for Convexity.

why?

Because if you believe you're buying a fractional piece of a business, you need to know the fundamentals of that business.

Because other methods are either way too complicated, impossible to replicate, subjective, or all of the above.

Because even though things like interest rates, macroeconomic factors, calculating--with point precision--a forecasted commodity price do make people money, that's NOT the game we are playing.
