Nikon 85mm F1 4D Lens Reviewed. Character over Sharpness (but it is still sharp!)

Hey this is NOT a techie review but as a wedding photographer my new Nikon D780 lens lineup was short an 85mm lens. I plumped for the Nikon 85 f1.4D lens - here's why.
There are several choices when it comes to 85mm primes for a Nikon camera. (staying in the Real World here so no crazy Zeiss options) Nikon themselves offer the:-
85 f1.8D
85 f1.8G
85 f1.4D
85 f1.4G
PLUS there's Sigma's f1.4 Art lens and the earlier Ex version. Samyang have also recently introduced their 85 f1.4 AF lens for Nikon.
My lens choice is about image "quality" rather than outright sharpness - the Sigma 85 Art would be the sharpest but I value feeling, depth, emotion and character more highly - hence my choice of the Nikon 85 f1.4D
